Symbiohsis is Onehunga High School’s robotics team.
The team started out in 2008 and quickly rose to dominate in national competitions throughout the season. After winning the majority of the competitions in the 08-09 season they were awarded the Excellence Award, a prestigious award given to an outstanding all round team. This qualified us to be one of four teams sent to America to represent New Zealand at the International Vex Robotics Championship. We performed extremely well, eventually meeting our fate in the semi-finals.
Symbiohsis got off to a slow start in the 09-10 season, but steadily grew to one of the dominating teams. Again winning many competitions, including the Regional Championships.
This accomplishment has qualified the team to participate in this years International Vex Robotics Championship. We hope to improve our position from last year and show the Americans what we are truly capable of!
